Not All Murders are Equal

In Baltimore a promising young Johns Hopkins researcher was stabbed to death, the latest white victim of “random urban crime.”

…was a matterof bad luck, unfortunate timing and raises the question of why he was killed after complying with demands to hand over his money and phone. Maybe the assailants just wanted to kill somebody. Maybe it was impulsive. Maybe it was a manifestation of evil itself. Who knows? What difference does it make? What can be done about such things? Quite apparently, nothing….
